In a Resolution dated May 25, 2021, when examining the complaint of MedReyting LLC, the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation clarified the procedure for applying para. 8, part 1, art. 6 of the Federal Law "On Personal Data", according to which the processing of personal data is necessary for the professional activity of a journalist and (or) the legitimate activity of the mass media or scientific, literary or other creative activities, provided that the rights and legitimate interests of the subject of personal data are not violated.

On July 2, 2021, the Federal Law "On the activities of Foreign entities in the Internet Information and Telecommunications Network on the Territory of the Russian Federation", which is also known the Law on "Landing", came into force for the landing of large IT companies. The aim of this law is to equalize foreign and Russian companies operating on the Internet.

In order to tighten up control over online advertising, Federal Law No. 347-FZ of 02.07.2021 "On Amendments to the Federal Law "On Advertising" (the Law) came into force on July 2, 2021.

The Draft Law № 912458-7 “On amendments to the part four of the Russian Civil Code” has passed through the third reading in the State Duma on 25 May 2021. The Draft Law implements article 1360.1 to part four of the Russian Civil Code.

The draft law “On amendments to Federal Law “On drugs circulation” had been already amended with a provision on the creation of a unified Register of pharmacologically active substances in 2019.
