Procedure for Verifying Product Cards on Marketplaces Approved

On 2 July 2026, the Russian Government published RF Government Resolution No. 821 “On the Procedure for the Verification by the Operator of an Intermediary Digital Platform of the Information Contained in a Product, Work or Service Card Placed on the Intermediary Digital Platform, as Provided for in Clause 1 of Part 1 and Part 2 of Article 7 of the Federal Law ‘On Certain Issues of Regulating the Platform Economy in the Russian Federation’” (hereinafter, the “Resolution No. 821”).

Amendments to Legislation on Control and Supervision Providing for the Immediate Prohibition of the Sale of Products, Including those Subject to Mandatory Labelling

On 24 June 2026, Draft Law No. 1209354-8 “On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation” (“Draft Law”) was passed at first reading.

The Draft Law aims to establish a mechanism for control and supervisory authorities to respond promptly to threats to the life and health of citizens arising from the circulation of products, including goods subject to mandatory labelling.
