April 15th 2020 the new edition of The Legal 500 EMEA, international ranking for the best law firms and individual lawyers from over 150 jurisdictions, is launched.

Partner of the dispute resolution practice at Lidings Alexander Popelyuk will run a special online master class dedicated to Corporate Disputes: Practice of Russian Courts. The event is organized by the PRO.Education Center at Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL), a student organization established on the basis of the Department of Practical Jurisprudence at MSAL.

In the time of coronavirus Russian regulators implemented package of emergency legislation including Insolvency law. On April 1, the law was published, and on April 3, the Government exercised the right and introduced a moratorium on initiating bankruptcy proceedings for certain categories of debtors for 6 months.

The event entitled Bankruptcy 2020: Key issues and New Experience will take place on March 13th 2020 at Baltschug Kempinski Moscow.

Lidings Dispute Resolution practice partner Alexander Popelyuk will take part in an international conference on the Resolution of CIS-Related Business Disputes hosted by American Bar Association (ABA) together with Russian Arbitration Association (RAA) on September 18th 2019 in Moscow.

Lidings dispute resolution practice’s partner Alexander Popleyuk will run a special master class on the topic When Debts of the Company Turn into Debts of its Participants and Shareholders. The event will be a part of the special educational programme for students of the Lomonosov Moscow State University (LMSU) entitled Summer Masters’ School and is scheduled on August 30 — September 1, 2019.

Lidings’ Dispute Resolution practice partner Alexander Popelyuk will act as arbitrator in the RAA’s 4th Online Moot Court Competition. The event is scheduled on 24-25 of August 2019 at National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Moscow.
