Vladislav Ryabov has been a member of the Lidings team since 2021. Over this time, he has established himself as one of the firm's leading experts in intellectual property protection. In his new role as Counsel, Vladislav will focus on further developing the firm's litigation practice in complex disputes concerning trademarks, patents, and unfair competition, strengthening Lidings' position in the IP market.
Among Vladislav's notable projects are:
- Successful representation of the Chinese platform DEWU (Poizon) in a dispute over the protection of the POIZON brand in Russia
- Achieving recognition of the Doppelherz brand as a well‑known trademark in respect of dietary supplements in a precedent‑setting court dispute against Rospatent
- Successful representation of a major German dietary supplement manufacturer in a dispute with a Russian company over trademark invalidation and enforcement of trademark rights
- Advising a leading Indian pharmaceutical company on the patent status of pharmaceutical products and regulatory matters; developing a strategy for launching generic drugs on the Russian market
- Representing a premium meat producer in a series of disputes concerning trademark protection and invalidation, as well as unfair competition cases; establishing precedent‑setting practice on bad‑faith trademark registrations
- Representing an Indian pharmaceutical company in a precedent‑setting court dispute against a competitor regarding the falsification of a drug registration dossier; supporting the initiation of criminal proceedings
- Advising a Russian poultry farm in a series of court disputes; building an asset protection system against a hostile takeover attempt involving forged loan and assignment agreements
Vladislav graduated from the Kutafin Moscow State Law University and holds the status of advocate and patent attorney. He actively speaks at leading industry conferences and roundtables on intellectual property matters, shares his expertise in professional legal publications, works with students, and serves as an arbitrator in moot court competitions.
Vladislav's expertise has been consistently recognised by the Pravo‑300 ranking in the "Intellectual Property" category.
