Lidings Law Firm Has Successfully Represented the Interests of Chinese Platform DEWU (Poizon) In A Dispute Over the Protection of POIZON Brand in Russia

The Intellectual Property Court invalidated the POIZON trademark previously registered by Russian LLC "Poizon", agreeing with the foreign party's arguments that the designation had been improperly used in association with the Chinese marketplace.

DEWU is one of China's largest marketplaces, specializing in branded clothing, footwear, and accessories. The platform is actively expanding its international presence, including into the Russian market.

The Lidings team, led by Managing Partner Boris Malakhov and including Senior Associate Vladislav Ryabov, Associate Ivan Vasiliev, and Junior Associate Alena Troitskaya, advised the client in the dispute concerning intellectual property and brand protection in the Russian Federation.

This case is yet another example of how critical timely brand and IP protection is for international businesses when entering new markets.

For Lidings, this victory further confirms the firm's strong position in IP dispute resolution and the handling of complex cross-border projects in Russia.

We extend our gratitude to DEWU for their trust, and to the project team for their professional and coordinated work.
