Lidings Expands Cooperation with Legal Advisors in the Gulf Region

Lidings’ Partner Stepan Guzey will visit Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, for a series of meetings with representatives of leading local law firms to discuss the prospects for cross-border cooperation.

During the visit, Mr. Guzey — supported by the HSE University (National Research University Higher School of Economics) as part of a specialized working group — will also take part in expert discussions on the operational development of the International North–South Transport Corridor (INSTC). The group intends to assess the corridor's real transit potential, which amid the ongoing global transformation of logistics could become a sustainable alternative to traditional supply chains and help redirect key cargo flows.

Discussions with regional legal partners will focus on the legal aspects of international maritime logistics, port infrastructure, and cross-border supplies in the Middle East and Gulf region. Particular attention will be paid to the legal support of food product shipments, industrial exports, and the development of new trade routes between Russia and the countries of the region.

In addition, the meetings are expected to address cooperation mechanisms in the areas of international arbitration, cross-border disputes, and protection of business interests in foreign jurisdictions.

"Today, the Gulf countries are becoming one of the key hubs for international trade, logistics, and investment cooperation. For the legal community, it is especially important to build sustainable partnerships that enable effective support for international projects and comprehensive legal assistance for businesses in the region," commented Stepan Guzey.

The visit is part of Lidings' broader strategy to expand international cooperation and strengthen professional ties with legal advisors across the Middle East.
