Lidings Announces Appointment of New Managing Partner

On the threshold of its 20th anniversary, Lidings is implementing the next stage in the evolution of its management model.

Boris Malakhov, Head of the Intellectual Property practice, has assumed the role of Managing Partner. In this capacity, he will focus on operational management, the development of internal processes, and improving the efficiency of the firm's practices.

Andrey Zelenin continues to work with the firm as Senior Partner, strengthening the strategic dimension, including team development, quality control, and work with key clients.

This is a logical continuation of Lidings' well-established management model, which is evolving in line with the firm's growth.

In recent years, Lidings has significantly expanded its practices, strengthened its positions in key sectors, and increased the complexity of its projects. Under these conditions, separating operational and strategic focus enhances manageability while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

For clients and partners, full continuity is assured: teams, points of contact, and the firm's approach to project support remain unchanged. All current projects continue as before.

"From the very beginning, Lidings was not conceived as a firm reflecting a single strong leader, nor has it ever been one. We have always been an open partnership — with distributed responsibility, diverse perspectives, and the shared conviction that the business is built by equal partners, not by one person with a "correct vision of the process." The current leadership transition is, in many ways, a continuation of this philosophy."

Andrey Zelenin, Senior Partner

"We preserve the core foundations on which everything rests: our partnership model, openness, adherence to international standards of work, and the ability to find our own place in the market. Now we need to adapt to the next stage — one focused on more flexible client engagement, updated management approaches, and faster responses to market changes. Over the next three to five years, this will be less about radical reforms and more about fine‑tuning."

Boris Malakhov, Managing Partner

"We continue to develop the firm, strengthening both its operational framework and strategic expertise, while maintaining an unwavering focus on quality and long‑term client relationships. Lidings is about continuity and legacy!"
