Lidings law firm successfully hosted a two-day visit by an Iranian business delegation on June 5–6, 2025, organized with the support of the Ferdowsi Legal dedicated to the markets of the Middle East countries. The event marked an important step in the development of economic and legal cooperation between Russia and Iran, opening new horizons for joint initiatives.
During the visit, Iranian entrepreneurs and lawyers participated in a packed program aimed at introducing them to the Russian market and establishing business connections. The highlight of the first day was an offsite tour of the production facilities of TEK-KOM in Tver. The guests had the opportunity to observe advanced technologies and manufacturing processes while discussing prospects for collaboration in high-tech production. Representatives of TEK-KOM noted the high level of interest from the Iranian side and expressed readiness for further cooperation in innovation and exports.
On the second day of the visit, June 6, a roundtable discussion was held at the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE), bringing together representatives of Russian businesses and the legal community. The discussion covered key aspects of bilateral cooperation, including legal frameworks for investments, business practices in both countries, and ways to overcome regulatory barriers. The session was moderated by a Lidings partner Stepan Guzey, who emphasized the importance of such meetings in building trust and facilitating knowledge exchange between the business circles of the two countries.
"We are proud to serve as a bridge connecting the business communities of Russia and Iran. This visit has been a significant step in strengthening our partnership, and we are confident it will lay the foundation for ambitious joint projects," said Alexey Zavarzin, Business Development Director at Lidings.
The success of the event was made possible through close collaboration with Ferdowsi Legal, which ensured the participation of leading Iranian business figures. The parties agreed to continue their cooperation, including organizing further meetings, business missions, and joint research to support commercial initiatives.
Lidings extends its gratitude to all participants for their active involvement and reaffirms its commitment to fostering the development of Russian-Iranian economic relations by providing expert legal support.
