Law on increasing penalties for violations in the field of restricted information was adopted

On June 11 Federal Law «On Amendments to the Administrative Offences Code»¹ came into force. This law toughened responsibility for violations related to confidential information.

Confidential information includes, for example: commercial, banking secrets, adoption secrets, probate secrets, personal data, attorney-client privilege, secrecy of communication, etc.

The law also established a sanction for illegal acquisition of restricted information.

We believe that these changes will have a positive impact on the processing of restricted data, which is vital for its holders.
