11- 13 May 2023 the 11th International Legal Forum will take place in St. Petersburg. The event is a major platform for dialogue among members of the legal, business, political and law-enforcement communities.
On the first day of the Forum, 11 May, Dmitry Kirillov, Counsel in Lidings tax and customs practice will take part in a panel session Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies and Mining: New Economic Challenges and Opportunities.
Together with the representatives of public authorities and businesses we will talk about what can be done to regulate cryptocurrencies in a consistent manner, with an emphasis on optionality and how can a balance be struck between the interests of the state and market players when it comes to government regulation of cryptocurrencies.
