M&A Within the Law: Corporate Law Instruments for Structuring Deals in Agribusiness
On 26 July 2026, the President of the Russian Federation signed and published Federal Law No. 241-FZ of 26 July 2026 (the “Law”), introducing amendments to Federal Law No. 115-FZ of 25 July 2002 “On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation”.
June 2026 brought significant changes to Russian migration regulations: new notification forms for employing foreign workers have been approved, state fees for residence permits, temporary residence permits, citizenship applications, and entry invitations have been increased, and requirements for criminal record certificates have been tightened. On June 10, 2026, Federal Law No. 162-FZ dated June 10, 2026 "On Amendments to the Federal Law "On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation' and Article 34 of the Federal Law "On the Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare of the Population" (hereinafter referred to as the "Law") was signed and published.
