Lidings Runs Fall International Internship Program for its Lawyers: Sweden 2017

Lidings starts its annual International Internship Program traditionally organized for the firm’s lawyers during the year and is delighted to announce that Senior Associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property practice Boris Malakhov has enrolled the Fall Program taking place in Sweden. Boris will undergo a four weeks internship in one of the largest international law firms Magnusson.

Having established strong and successful collaboration with prominent law firms from Europe, Asia, America, Africa, and CIS countries allowing us to ensure highest quality of legal support in projects being a subject to other jurisdictions, Lidings on the regular basis organizes special internship programs for its lawyers in the offices of partner firms abroad providing the same opportunity for their lawyers to undergo internship in the firm’s office in Moscow. Each program usually lasts for four weeks and designed for a trainee to work in the office of a hosting firm fully diving into the workflow, allowing to get an insight and understand specifics of the legal advice in the country.

This time the Fall International Internship Program will run in Sweden. Boris Malakhov, Senior Associate at Lidings, focused on various aspects of intellectual property protection, including representation of the firm's clients in courts, will spend a month in the Stockholm office of Magnusson international law firm, a partner law firm Lidings cooperates with on different  projects involving companies from the Baltic Sea and Scandinavia regions operating in Russia.

In a course of each international internship Lidings’ lawyers not only work together with a hosting law firm on joint projects, but initiate meetings and run seminars for the firm’s clients with offices in the region internship is taking place in. Thus, as part of his trip, Boris Malakhov, in addition to Sweden, will visit Finland, where he also plans to initiate a series of seminars for the firm’s clients from the Scandinavian region, including such companies, representatives of the key industrial sectors, as: AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, CITEC Engineering, MEDA Pharma, TeliaSonera and others.

“The great value we see in running such international practice-oriented initiatives is that it allows the firm's lawyers to strengthen their professional skills to meet international standards of the profession, as well as in the opportunity to obtain a unique experience of direct communication with clients from foreign headquarters”, - comments Lidings’ Managing Partner Andrey Zelenin.

“Being in the client’s country of origin it is easier to understand the specifics of its business and therefore determine and provide the most convenient cooperation mechanisms”, - adds Boris Malakhov.

Fall internship in Sweden is the second in a series of International Internship Programs ran by Lidings in 2017. Thus, during the Summer Program Lidings’ Associate in the Intellectual Property practice Ilya Khodakov took his internship in Turkish Pelister Atayılmaz Enkür law firm in Istanbul. In turn, the lawyer form Pelister Atayılmaz Enkür Ms. Pelin Aydogdu took her internship in the Lidings’ office in Moscow.
