Lidings celebrates its 4th birthday

On April 28, 2006 Sergey Aksenov and Andrey Zelenin established Lidings law firm, specializing in providing legal services to foreign companies in Russia.

During the four year period Lidings has developed and strengthened its position in the Russian market.

In 2007 the leading corporate, privatization, and real estate specialist Tatiana Bicheva has joined Lidings as a partner. That same year Lidings has established Turkish Desk providing specialist, dedicated legal services to Turkish businesses operating in Russia and three years later the firm became the most recognizable in the Turkish business association in Russia.

In March 2008 Lidings has appeared in international legal directory The Legal 500, described as " … one of the first Russian law firms to specialise in rendering qualified and efficient legal assistance exclusively for foreign companies doing business in Russia."  In September the firm has announced the opening of an office in St. Petersburg, strengthening its position as a leading legal services provider to companies from Scandinavia and the Baltic.

The year 2009 became the most successful in terms of client relations development.  Lidings has advised major international companies listed in the Fortune Global 500, including 3M; ASUSTeK Computer Inc.; Crédit Agricole Group; ExxonMobil Corporation; ING Group; Japan Tobacco International; Norsk Hydro ASA; OMV Group; Royal Dutch Shell plc; and UniCredit Group.

In autumn of 2009 Lidings has conducted a rebranding campaign, changing its corporate colors to red-claret and grey-silver, and adopting a new, three-dimensional logo.

The firm’s offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg now comprise more than 20 lawyers providing specialist advice across nine dedicated practice areas.  More than 90 foreign companies among which are the largest international corporations are Lidings’ clients.

Lidings’ Managing partner Sergey Aksenov commented the four years’ effort: “We have managed to do what no other Russian law firm has done before - we have strongly occupied the segment of advising foreign companies in Russia and started a niche competition in this segment for new market players”.

Celebration of the firm’s Birthday was on the motor ship with all the firms’ employees and partners present.
