Lidings is becoming the partner of choice for businesses throughout Asia, Europe, and the United States
Lidings is a Russian law firm, dedicated to advising foreign companies (and their Russian partners) on all aspects of establishing and managing their operations in Russia. Founded in 2006, and initially specializing in real estate, corporate and commercial law, and arbitration and litigation, the firm’s offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg now comprise more than 20 lawyers providing specialist advice across nine dedicated practice areas.
In 2008 international directory the Legal 500 recognized Lidings as “… a firm working to international standards”, and acknowledged its niche position in advising foreign companies investing in Russia and worldwide.
Lidings currently advises more than 90 foreign companies, including several leading international corporations listed in the Fortune Global 500: 3M, ASUSTeK Computer Inc., Crédit Agricole Group, Exxon Mobil Corporation, Norsk Hydro ASA, ING Group, Japan Tobacco International, OMV Group, Royal Dutch Shell, and UniCredit Group.

The firm’s international reach stretches from the United Kingdom (home to 15% of the firm’s clients) to Turkey (14%), the United States (11%), Japan (10%), Korea (9%), Germany (8.5%), Holland (5%), France (4.5%), Taiwan (4%), Sweden (3.5%), and the Czech Republic (3%). Other countries comprise the remaining 12.5%. The establishment of its dedicated Turkish Desk in 2007 has resulted in the firm becoming a recognized leading advisor to the Turkish business community.

As at end 2009, the firm had increased the size of its client base by 46%. Approximately 49% of all work involved mergers and acquisitions or other aspects of corporate and commercial law; 27% arbitration and litigation, 12% real estate and construction, and 7% banking and finance. Other projects comprised the remaining five percent.
A full rebranding campaign was undertaken in 2009, with new corporate colours (claret and silver-grey) adopted and a new three-dimensional logo introduced.
With offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Lidings represents the interests of foreign companies operating throughout the Russian Federation, and is particularly active in those areas most attractive to international investors - the Kaliningradskaya, Kaluzhskaya, Nizhegorodskaya, Novosibirskaya, Rostovskaya, Sverdlovskaya, Tomskaya, Tumenskaya, Tverskaya, and Volgogradskaya oblasts (administrative districts of the Russian Federation), as well as the Krasnodarsky Krai, the Stavropolsky Krai, and the Republic of Tatarstan.
