Lidings invites young practitioners interested in international arbitration to attend a networking seminar on 23rd April at the Metropol Hotel in Moscow. The seminar will be co-hosted by two leading organizations dedicated to helping lawyers under the age of 40 to enrich their professional network and skills: ICDR Young and International and the Russian Arbitration Association 40.
ICDR Y&I is the networking group affiliated with the ICDR for those interested in international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution under the age of 40. Its primary goal is to provide opportunities for younger participants in the field of international arbitration and ADR to meet, exchange ideas and learn from peers and more senior practitioners. ICDR Y&I ranks include attorneys in private practice, in-house counsel, government employees and academics and graduate students with an interest in international arbitration. Since its launch in April 2004, ICDR Y&I has enjoyed continued growth, now having more than 2,300 associates from 96 countries spanning 6 continents. The group has hosted (or co-hosted) events in more than 30 cities in Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia. In February 2014 partner, head of dispute resolution practice at Lidings Andrey Zelenin has been elected member of the Global Advisory Board of ICDR Young and International for a 3-year term.
RAA40 is a group for young arbitration practitioners and academics and a part of the Russian Arbitration Association. The key purpose of RAA40 is to promote arbitration among young lawyers and to create more opportunities for professional development of its membership. To achieve this purpose, RAA40 implements a number of projects. It organizes seminars to discuss the hottest arbitration-related issues (from legal regime to professional skills), publishes a regular newsletter discussing recent developments and works to give RAA40 members opportunities to participate in the most important arbitration-related events and projects in Russia.
The seminar in Moscow will be an ideal forum for young practitioners to enrich their network and hear seasoned professionals in the field discuss a wide range of topics including online arbitration, mass claims in arbitration, neutrality and impartiality of arbitrators, as well as skills crucial for a successful arbitration practitioner.
The seminar is free of charge. If you wish to attend please email your registration request to bd@lidings.com.
