Lidings’ Dispute Resolution Practice Partner Sergey Kislov and Partner of Corporate and M&A Practice Sergey Patrakeev ran a special master class entitled Are You a Corporate or a Dispute Lawyer? How to Find One in Yourself? at the law faculty of the National Research University – Higher School of Economics (HSE). The meeting with soon to be professional lawyers took place on April 11th on the basis of the HSE Civil Law Study Club.
Master class was held in a fun format of a battle when representatives of two legal practice areas, corporate and M&A law and dispute resolution law, attempt to prove which practice is more challenging. Corporates were represented by Lidings’ Partner heading the Corporate and M&A Practice Sergey Patrakeev. “The rights” of Disputers were defended by the firm’s Dispute Resolution Partner Sergey Kislov.
The master class was designed for law students to get an idea of particular differences and similarities of two main legal practice areas “being essential for any structure called legal consulting”, - comments Sergey Patrakeev. At the same time it was aimed to demonstrate “how one general base, objective and approaches may be applied differently when working with documents in the office and in court”, - adds Sergey Kislov.
Earlier this year the firm’s also experts conducted an educational program course at the law faculty of the Lomonosov Moscow State University combined of a series of special workshops dedicated to specifics of working in particular industrial spheres: pharmaceuticals, information technology, automotive and FMCG.
